Utility 

The T RuK underseat drawer is designed to be accessible from the most common and comfortable position (standing outside the truck) while making the best use of the space under your seat:

• maximum space - each drawer is designed specifically for your truck > to use all possible width and height under your rear seat
• 2-way lock - by hand for quick access or with key for maximum security
• split-design - one drawer per side of cab allows for maximum application as many trucks have uneven floors or factory-electronics on one side
  
  • for trucks that can accommodate 2 drawers, the split design allows a more affordable entry point (buy one drawer now, the other drawer later - or an alternative kit-out for the second side)

The Backstory - "Designed by a Dad"

As the father of two young children there are 1 or 2 car seats in my truck at all times, so I can't use the back seat as a catch-all anymore. I can't use traditional underseat storage products either, unless I remove one or both of the child's seats every time.

A couple of close-calls also made me more concerned about storing things unsecured. In the event of hard braking or an accident loose items become projectiles capable of harm. Other items (pew-pews, etc) are unsafe if left unsecured under any circumstances -especially with children present.

What I needed was something that made the underseat space accessible without lifting the rear seat, and remained secure in all driving conditions.

The solution seemed to be an underseat drawer.

A quick online search revealed there were other underseat drawers already on the market, but they all suffered from at least one of the following issues: 

*poor accessibility - drawer(s) that weren't fully accessible or couldn't be opened standing outside the cab

*poor security - cheap construction (rivets, thin metal) that could fail quickly

*low/no configurability - no customization options

*very limited applications - only fit one or two makes/models

So I decided to come up with my own design. After many months of R&D, and working closely with my fantastic design engineer, Jonathan, we came up with a design that exceeded my expectations.

Like other OAM products the T RuK underseat drawer solves a real problem, and it is designed for real people. I also believe that highly-functional products don't have to be ugly, so we never settle for anything less than sophisticated design.  And lastly, we always strive to deliver products with premium quality, and good old-fashioned customer service.
