This is an especially beautiful length of itajime shibori: the soft, hand spun cotton and the warm botanical indigo used to dye the piece--slightly faded--along with the its good age make for an extra-good length of clamp dyed shibori cotton.

The indigo is really lovely for its rich color and the length shows about seven, small patches down its length.  As well, there is a small, contained spray of staining, illustrated in the accompanying photos.

Although we often offer itajime shibori cotton on this webshop, this particular piece is distinguished for its warmth and its subtle beauty, and for the very nice quality of the old cotton.
