Experience Brazil Fazenda Da Lagoa In Multiple Colors [f69ACb3H]

The roots of Fazenda Da Lagoa (farm by the lake) can be traced back to the eighteenth century when Portuguese settlers built a little chapel on the bank of the Amparo River and put up fences around the area that is today’s farm. Manuel Ferreira Carneiro passed down the knowledge of how to produce one of Brazil’s most outstanding coffees from generation to generation. Today, Joaqui’m Paiva, a direct decent and managing director, honors its 200-year-old coffee tradition.

Fazendo de Lagoas is situated 1,100m above sea level, near the town of Santo Antonio do Amparo. The farm of over 7,000 acres is comprised of a natural reserve, woodlands, pastures, 40 natural springs and over 3,700 acres of coffee.

Sustainable principles guide all cultivation and processing practices on the farm. Only arabica varieties such as Catuai’ Mundo Nova and Acaya have been selected to grow on the farm. By protecting healthy soils and rivers and producing sustainable coffee, Fazenda da Lagoa aims to be an inspiring partner to neighboring rural communities.

While Fazenda da Lagoa honors its 200-year-old coffee tradition, it is also known for its innovative farming approaches, which include modern agricultural techniques that are based on scientific research carried out on the farm.
