Here is a nice antique Wapak #10 early logo cast iron skillet with heat ring, made circa 1903-1910 in Wapakoneta, Ohio. It measures 11.75" in diameter, 16.5" long including handle, and is 2.25" deep. It is marked Wapak 10 on the underside. There is also a ghost mark reading 716A, this style Wapak 10 skillet is known for having ghost marks from a Griswold Erie 10. On this skillet, only the Griswold pattern number is visible, there is no Erie ghost mark. There are no marks on the handle.
Vintage estate find, please see photos. Wapak skillets are known for having a variety of casting flaws, and this is no different. A number of casting flaws are visible on the underside, adding to the antique character of the piece. No cracks or chips. Has a significant wobble if pressed at 2 or 8 o'clock, not recommended for glass top stoves. Light utensil marks and a few flea bites to cooking surface. Has been professionally restored via electrolysis and given multiple coats of seasoning with grapeseed oil. Ready for use or display!
