Overview
The Jaw-dropping Scilogex D160 Homogenizer Now 85% Cheaper [aCWuH0eT] can rapidly homogenize, disperse, and emulsify samples in either 0.1 - 50 ml or 1 - 250 ml of liquid, depending on the generating probe used. During operation, the suspended material is drawn into the core of the homogenizer by a rotor turning at up to 30,000rpm. The material is repeatedly cycled through narrow slits in the probe where it is rapidly disintegrated by high shear. Complete homogenization of tissues (muscle, liver, etc.) is usually achieved in a few seconds with only a small amount of heat produced during the process.
The interchangeable, autoclavable stainless steel shafts are chemically inert, made from 316L Stainless Steel with PTFE bushings, making it suitable for use with solvents and abrasive substances. Shafts are easily and quickly removed for cleaning after operation or between samples. The D160 Homogenizer is easy to hold and light weight (less than two pounds) enabling one hand operation.
Saw tooth generators are available for improved performance in tissue homogenization applications.
The D160 package* includes a probe and stand and is available in two sizes:
- A DS-160/5 includes - Drive Motor, DS-160/5 5mm dia. generator, flat head-open slot, 50mm immerse length, H-370 stand, for solid/liquid media, volumes 0.1-50ml, 110V, 60Hz
- A DS-160/10 includes - Drive Motor, DS-160/10 10mm dia. generator, flat head-open slot, 115mm immerse length, H-370 stand, for solid/liquid media, volumes 1- 250ml, 110V, 60Hz
