Have you ever dreamed of being a Blue Crew Border Hero who patrols our World's boundaries?

Border Patrol Agents play a very important role in keeping our nation's borders and people safe! They help people follow the laws when they want to visit us from other places in the world or want to move here to become our new neighbors and friends.

They make sure rules are being followed when visitors bring things into our country to use, sell, or share with others.  If they discover that people are trying to sneak illegal or dangerous things across our borders (called “smuggling”), they stop them before anyone gets hurt. Sometimes, people are very clever about trying to sneak things into our lands, so our Border Patrol CrewMen must be even smarter to find out first & STOP them! 

They have a lot of interesting tools and vehicles to use – like helicopters, jeeps, trucks, four-wheelers (called ATV’s or All-Terrain-Vehicles), or even boats. They fly drones to see land that they can’t travel to easily, use X-ray machines to look for hidden things that break the rules, and even use specially trained Border Patrol dogs or ride horses (like Cowboys) while they do their jobs.  That sounds so interesting!

Did you know that in the USA, some of the first Border Patrol Agents (as far back as 1904) were on horses all the time in Texas, and were called "Mounted Watchmen." That was a long time before helicopters, drones, & ATV's were around. Whoa!
