Efficient Wireless Transmission
Orbit PTZ uses Teradek’s patented Joint Source Channel Coding (JSCC), and MIMO and OFDM technologies, to transmit video over the unlicensed 5GHz band and 4.9GHz public safety band. This enables far better channel utilization and handling of interference than competing H.264 / HEVC transmission methods.

Real-Time Camera Control
Orbit PTZ features RS-232 and RS-422 connectivity for PTZ camera control. Camera commands travel over a zero-latency wireless link between transmitter and receiver, with support for VISCA and Panasonic AW protocols. Pair transmitters and receivers with the touch of a button, monitor channel interference, set operating frequencies, and control your PTZ cameras directly from the app, no cables needed.
