Quetzalcoatl appears in his human and fantastic form.

The body of the coiled rattlesnake is covered with quetzal feathers (bird from warm lands with green feathers) because it is the fusion of two opposite and complementary poles: the terrestrial world and the celestial world.

His human body is embedded in the serpent's rings, his hands and feet appear in the bird's feathers, his head emerges from the serpent's mouth.
The red color would come from a natural alteration of the rock (see technical file)
