Unlined black silk taffeta bonnet with yellow silk taffeta trim. Bonnet has a drawstring in back for some size adjustment. Made from our standard size Larkin and Smith 18th Century Bonnet Pattern. Paper pattern available here.

While we don't have a specific source, yet, for black bonnet with yellow trim, we do have plenty of written and visual references to black or dark colored 18th century bonnets with contrasting linings and/or trim. We found this bit of yellow silk taffeta in our stash and fell in love with the combination. But maybe that's because daffodil season is in full swing here in Vermont!
