Alpha L1™ Tissue Matrix Allograft is a minimally manipulated structural connective tissue allograft. Alpha L1™ is recovered from post c-section umbilical cord Wharton’s Jelly tissue using our OnePURE Processing™ and suspended in sterile saline. This process ensures Alpha L1™ performs the same original basic functions, providing both structural integrity and cushioning in allograft transplantation, as the tissue performed in the donor umbilical cord.

Alpha L1™ is indicated for homologous use to provide structural support, protection, cushioning, and lubrication for those with wounds or soft tissue defects. The tissue is recovered at an FDA-registered cGTP-compliant lab, with clean room processing. No radiation is used during processing, and no animal reagents are used, either.

Quality Assurance includes monitoring the tissue from donor screening all the way through storage. Alpha L1™ is processed from donated umbilical cords from full-term deliveries. All donors are pre-screened and undergo comprehensive testing that includes:

Infectious disease testing is performed at a certified laboratory in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) and 42 CFR part 493.
