Avid Corporation was one of the few loudspeaker companies to hail from Rhode Island, and certainly the only one to have gained any acclaim.  And that acclaim is well deserved!  Focusing on sealed acoustic suspension designs and carefully selected components, Avid made speakers with an accurate and musical presentation uncommon in the industry in the 1970s.  

These Model 102 speakers are a reasonably simple design, but offer excellent full-range sound. The Philips tweeter and woofer were top-shelf components in their day.  All components function perfectly.
