When "Home Theater Mag" reviewed the Definitive Technology ProCinema system back in 2004, they were left in amazement at the capabilities of these small speakers.  One-liners like "run and get this system" and "as close to perfection as possible in this price range" riddle the review, which was gushing with compliment after compliment.  Originally sold with a self-powered subwoofer, the four ProMonitor 80 speakers and singular ProCenter 100 round-out the 5-channel sound package. Our offering here is missing the subwoofer, but literally any high quality powered sub will pair perfectly with these small satellites. 

The first thing an astute listener will notice from the ProCinema system is the quality and transparency of the image, whether listening to 2-channel audio, or using a 5-channel processor, these speakers disappear into the room while at the same time completely filling it with accurate and enjoyable sound. 

The 1" metallic dome tweeter has been a tried and true workhorse for Definitive Technology since the BP days back in the 1990s. Coupled with a long-throw 4" poly cone woofer (two in the case of the ProCenter), the lightweight and stiff components perform admirably.  

Sold here as a set for only $199, this is a great starter system for a very compelling multi-channel setup.
