He undresses in fear of unfamiliar reflections. The serpentine tongue of a goldfish penetrates the flower of his subconscious. A once beautiful vase lies in rubble and decay. Yet, the life within it thrives.  His family sits for dinner. He will not join them. They eat their fill under the feverish blue of a distant landscape at the end of the oculus.

This piece is a part of the solo exhibition Scenes from Nurture by Leo Frontini at GR2 Gallery running from August 19th - September 6th, 2023.
