Powermaster designed this 19000-4 PowerMax Plus Starter for Small Block Ford V8 engines with manual transmission using a 164 Tooth Flexplate 3/8" depth that have up to a 14.0:1 compression ratio! The 3.7:1 gear reduction ratio on this chrome Hitachi-style mini starter supplies reliable cranking power, while the 4-position rotation system clears most headers and kick-out oil pans.

This starter is an excellent choice where heat soak, limited space or hot starting is a concern. The billet aluminum adapter block helps the PowerMax Plus line to be lighter than stock starters.
