Powermaster designed this 9000-10 PowerMax Plus Starter for 1965-1981 Pontiac and Oldsmobile V8 engines (except 301) using a 166 Tooth Flywheel that have up to a 14.0:1 compression ratio! The 3.7:1 gear reduction ratio on this natural Hitachi-style mini starter supplies reliable cranking power, while the 4-position rotation system clears most headers and kick-out oil pans.

This starter is an excellent choice where heat soak, limited space or hot starting is a concern. The billet aluminum adapter block helps the PowerMax Plus line to be lighter than stock starters.
