This Comp Cams 12-600-8 SBC 283THR7 Thumpr Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Camshaft fits the 262-400 Small Block Chevy from 1958-1998. Comp designed this cam for high performance street/strip use, and it features a choppy/thumping idle. A 9.5:1 or higher compression ratio, lower rear end gears and a 2300+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
