This Comp Cams 11-600-4 BBC 279TH7 Thumpr Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft fits the 396-454 Big Block Chevy from 1967-1996. Comp designed this cam for high performance street use, and it features strong torque and a choppy/t umping idle. A 9.0:1 or higher compression ratio and a 2200+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
