Ships From Usa Original Soviet Cold War 1950 Dated Ppsh-41 Display Machine Pistol Serial Bd 8772 With Live Barrel, Internals, Drum Magazine & Accessories Collection [Wv84NiBw]

Original Item: Only One Available. These have become very difficult to find, and this is definitely a well marked example! This is a great Russian PPsh-41 display Machine Pistol, built on a BATF compliant non-firing display receiver. The upper receiver rear of the barrel trunion has been completely replaced with a fabricated solid steel dummy receiver. That makes this display gun totally legal to own without a license of any kind. Every part on this display gun is original manufacture other than 50%+ of the upper receiver that as been replaced (as required by BATF). This makes a perfect display piece of an exceptionally hard to find WWII Sub-Machine Gun.

Unlike many example we have had in the past, the barrel on this example is still live, with an intact chamber, and the bore is in excellent condition, showing little to no signs of use. The original bolt and recoil assembly, not used in the construction of the display gun, is also included, as is a very nice oil and solvent bottle. There is even the original cleaning rod and multi tool, which store nicely in the butt stock storage compartment. It comes with the correct leather and canvas Soviet carrying sling, as well as a magazine pouch, which nicely fits the correct drum magazine, which will be deactivated where required.

The top of the receiver is marked with an (01) arsenal marking, indicating use in Hungary, and under this is a 1950 date over a proof mark. As the rear receiver has been replaced, there is no serial number present. We rarely see dates on these due to how they are usually demilitarized!

The receiver tang to the rear of the latch is marked with the full serial number BD 8772, which matches the marking stamped into the left side of the stock. The trigger guard on the other hand is marked with AK 6456, so parts were definitely swapped out over the years on this example. There are other numbers and symbols stamped on the barrel jacket and barrel, however we are not able to decipher them.

This example is really in great shape, and has the safety still moves a bit and the trigger can still be pulled. The drum magazine can be removed from the magazine well. The butt stock still has a functioning butt trap, which contains the included cleaning rod and multi-tool. There are no cracks in the stock, which looks great, showing just a bit of wear. The sling is in lovely condition, with no real deficiencies, and a lovely aged look. Really a fantastic PPSh-41 set!

A great display piece, ready to add to your Cold War collection!

History of the PPSh-41:
The PPSh-41 (Russian: Пистоле́т-пулемёт Шпа́гина, tr. Pistolét-pulemyót Shpágina, lit. 'Shpagin's machine pistol') is a Soviet submachine gun designed by Georgi Shpagin as a cheap, simplified alternative to the PPD-40. Common nicknames are "Pe-Pe-Sha" from its three-letter prefix and "Papasha" meaning daddy.

The PPSh was a magazine-fed selective fire submachine gun using an open-bolt, blowback action. Made largely of stamped steel, it could be loaded with either a box or drum magazine, and fired the 7.62×25mm Tokarev pistol round.

The PPSh saw extensive combat use during World War II and the Korean War. It was one of the major infantry weapons of the Soviet armed forces during World War II.
