Originally introduced in 2004, the vitola was available for the next eight years before taking an  early retirement. However, this relatively brief appearance proved ample time to leave a lasting impression on those cigar enthusiasts who had discovered this remarkable cigar.
Some twenty years later In 2024, in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the Trinidad brand,  Habanos S.A. reintroduced the vitola, offering devotees the opportunity to enjoy it once again as part of a three-day Habanos World Days festival held in London

Presented in elegant luxury boîte nature boxes of three, the cigars are adorned with three bands: the traditional Trinidad band, a commemorative band marking the brand’s 55th anniversary and a foot band embossed with the instantly recognizable “T“ motif.

The Robusto Extra is medium bodied and shares all the classic, accessible and aromatic charm of its predecessor. With the measurements of a Doble , 6 1/8” (155 mm) x 50 ring gauge, but with the addition of a pigtail cap which is a signature of the Trinidad brand, this cigar is made entirely by hand with select leaves from the renown Vuelta Abajo zone.
