For a more economical and practical solution for fuel monitoring for tank depths, VDO ALAS I 12/24 V fuel senders are definitely on the level!  These fuel senders are engineered with a redundant dual-wiper system and a unique "quiet arm" (minimizes float movement). 

The slotted SAE 5-hole flange mount provides versatility for sender mounting options, and the stainless steel float arms and pivot adjust 140mm to 400mm.  So, for reliable performance you can count on--on the level--VDO ALAS I 12/24 V fuel senders deliver.
