Back in the day, before a woman becomes one’s bethrothed, a man would try to win her heart with a Harana, which is the art of wooing by way of song. Traditionally, the man, sometimes with his friends, comes by and serenades the woman underneath her window at night, with a guitar in hand and his heart on his sleeve.
