Sakura agate is a beautiful agate with a soft pink or orange-beige color and a crystal pattern that resembles a cherry blossom. It is also called Sakura agate, or Cherry Blossom agate.

It is said that the crystal pattern that resembles a cherry blossom flower is formed during the precipitation process in which agate, a subspecies of the quartz group, solidifies over time.

In Japan, Buddhists have Prayer beads (Juzu, Nenju). Kyoto is famous as a producing center of Prayer beads.
