IAG's turbo heat shield blanket is perfect for reducing under hood temperatures generated from your vehicle's turbocharger. Lowering the temperature helps reduce turbo lag and avoids damaging electrical components, body surfaces, and surrounding hoses. The heat shield is constructed with a silicone impregnated fiberglass outer layer that is rated to 600°F direct heat and 1100°F radiant heat. The shield blanket is internally insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool rated to 1832°F continuous and 2300°F peak. The inner side of the blanket is overlaid with a high-temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability and improved thermal resistance. The outer surface features stainless steel hooks that accept stainless wire allowing the blanket to fit many Subaru internal wastegate turbo applications with ease. the black coated material on the outside reduces soiling from oil and coolant spills.
