ABOUT THE PATTERN
KINTSUGI is inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery in which metallic lacquer is used to highlight the seams created in objects that are flawed, but cherished. Using rich metallic inks and heavily mottled backgrounds, KINTSUGI brings to mind the beauty of patina and the awe and reverence of restoration.         

The hand painted patterns are individually made, panel by panel – never mass produced. Through the process of aesthetic judgments made by our highly trained team of studio artists, each composition is artistically produced – never created with stencils, digital printing, copying imagery or any manufactured techniques. While each panel varies slightly, Porter Teleo’s mindful and meticulous process allows for continuity within the design. The patterns enliven the best interiors with a bold, distinctive color palette and a refined aesthetic.
