This spring is a 315lb rated spring that fits 1978-79 Corvettes. Please verify bolt size before ordering as the 78-79 Corvettes should have 7/16" bolts with a 5/8" hex head mounting the spring to the differential cover. State of the art technology was a major component of this spring. In order to preserve the excellent handling associated with the Corvette, Muskegon Brake offers this spring for 1963-1982 Corvettes. This is considered the master upgrade for the Corvette suspension for ride and performance. Each composite spring is accompanied by all the necessary mounting hardware, including spring bolts, nuts, cotter keys, rubber grommets, cups, washers, and a special heat shield. 1978-1979 Corvettes were equipped with a differential cover designed to accommodate a 2.5� spring. The spring bolted to the cover using 7/16� bolts. The 1978 Anniversary Edition Corvette is the exception, as it used a 2.25� spring that bolted to the cover using 9/16� bolts. Please measure the width of your existing spring and note the size of the bolts before ordering.
