The JEWLS* leg is a stainless steel leg that has been TIG welded by hand (vs a very pretty looking machine weld on the Yamaha part) and is polished by hand (there may be a few small blemishes) but it's a terrific cost savings!
The reason the OE charges so much is because the leg outer diameter is 2.125" (two and an eighth inches) in diameter. This is a non standard size tube, so we use a 2" tube and add another 1/16th around the base.
