Creating my original work is the best part of my job! My studio is filled with bins and drawers full of scraps and pieces of papers and fabrics. It's a happy crazy mess in here and I love picking out different pieces to put in my work. I usually start a piece with a general plan of the main idea, but it completely evolves and changes as I work on the art. I never know where it's going to end up!

My original Mixed Media paintings and collage are made using acrylic paint, cut and torn papers, pieces of fabric such as lace, doilies, and burlap. Sometimes metal elements such as keys, knobs, flowers.  I also use charcoal, ink, stamps and other elements to create texture and depth. Each piece is meant to create visual interest.  My paintings may or may not include all these element as each piece is different and unique.
