Rare Find Alto Recorder After Jacob Denner By Moeck With Tracking [RE0P7zaO]

This Moeck alto is based on an original model by Jacob Denner (Nuremberg, 1681-1735). Jacob Denner was the son and successor of the famous and esteemed woodwind-maker Johann Christoph Denner of Nuremberg. Just like his father, Jacob Denner's excellent craftsmanship was highly-regarded far beyond the borders of his homeland. Exquisite examples of Denner originals are kept in various museums or are in private possession. Moeck's Denner rendition is based on an original Denner model found in the Musikhistorisk Museum in Copenhagen. According to many renowned recorder makers, it is the best-preserved instrument made by Denner.

Moeck's Denner recorders speak clearly and effortlessly, and the tone colour is perfectly balanced in all registers. It has a slender and refined tone with a brilliance that is ideal for solo playing. This instrument is particularly suitable for virtuosic music with many rapid sections, such as the works of Georg Philipp Telemann.

These instruments are available in two tunings (A=415 and A=442) and two wood types (catello boxwood or grenadilla). Castello boxwood creates a warm, full sound with an elegent tone. Grenadilla, a hard and heavy wood, produces a silvery, flute-like sound. Grenadilla's clear, cool tone can cut through an ensemble, making it ideal for solo playing.

Each alto is sold with a hard, zippered case containing a cleaning rod and cloth, cork grease, fingering chart, Moeck certificate and a maintenance manual. We also include a maintenance kit, which contains duponol, oil, and oiling supplies.
