About the Wine

You may not have heard of Vincent de Saint-Denis yet but you may have heard of the winery Domaine Des Beaumont that is producing this wine. Long story short, this is the same 'Morey Saint Denis' that is labeled under Beaumont, just in a brand new package so that it can get into the United States. If you're longing for Red Burgundy that knocks your socks off, this is it. This is a "WOW" wine that can't be missed.

The masterminds behind this estate are Thierry and Vincent Beaumont. These brothers are the seventh generation of growers that have worked their family's vines but it wasn't until the late 1990s that they started to sell wine as their own label. Today these two brothers produce wine from just over 13 acres.  This Premier Cru vineyard sits just below the Saint-Dennis Grand Cru and provides an exceptionally structured wine. This is a wine that will easily age for a decade plus. 

This amazing Red Burgundy is not only produced by one of the best Bourgogne vignerons but it was also born on an outstanding 98-point "hedonistic" vintage. 2019 was stated to be "perhaps rival 1865, the greatest vintage of all."

Tasting Notes: 100% Pinot Noir. The bouquet shows beautiful aromas of black and red fruits like blackcurrant and cherries. Subtle notes of bramble, violet, licorice, and fruits conserved in liquor. Scents of game, leather, moss, and even truffle. Sustained and structured, this wine lingers in the mouth without flinching. It has just the right balance between body and fruit. With its rounded tannins and mouth-filling generosity. This is great, outstanding wine!
