Less oaky than usual, the 2023 Les Gravières shows a dark, elegant bouquet of violet, licorice, spices and dark wild berries. Medium to full-bodied, rich and lively, it has a fleshy core of fruit with structured tannins and a delicate, long and ethereal finish. ~90-92 RP

The 2023 Les Gravières has a light, and as its name implies, gravelly bouquet that just needs more fruit concentration. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly hard tannins. There’s mainly black fruit here, laced with tobacco. The finish feels a bit abrupt and austere. It’s not bad, but not much fun. ~86-88 NM-VM

The 2023 Les Gravières, 100% Merlot, is laced with strong savory and mineral notes that give it its strong, assertive personality. Dark-toned fruit, gravel, incense, crushed rocks and lavender appear with time in the glass. Deceptive in its mid-weight feel, Les Gravières is built more on persistence than size. ~90-92 AG-VM
