User-friendly Statice From Tissue Culture- Sinuet - Ends Soon [69W1Kkeo]

Sinuet is bred by Danziger and is known for its wide range of colors, large flowers and thinner stems than seen in other series. For those shipping statice this means you can fit more in a box, and for designers a more petite stem can be an advantage. 

The plants get huge.They easily produce 20-50 stems per plant. They are leaps and bounds above seed grown strains. 

Traditional florist shops are familiar with "Tissue Culture" statice, and it is often marketed as such in the floral trade. This term is synonymous with quality.

Culture- Space 12 to 18" apart. After planting they need a week or two around or below 45 F to effectively initiate their flower buds. They will receive a chilling period before they arrive but there is no harm in giving them more after transplant. When the first stems are emerging from the crown, pinch them out to encourage the establishment of a strong base of foliage which will then support heavy flowering. They will continue to produce flowers until extreme heat shuts them down, which never happened in our trials. They were still blooming in October. Grow in well drained to sandy soils.
