This tree was collected in 2018 from a nurseryman who had been growing it in central florida for 25 years previously.  This is seedling variety of japanese maple and is ramifying out well .  This tree is a variety that heavily flowers and makes seeds every year.  I don't know the name as it was lost over the decades, but the leaves are also more compact than standard seedling Japanese maple.
