Dimpled & Grooved: The key benefits of the dimpled and grooved discs are that brake fade is significantly reduced. the science behind this is the dimples and the grooves deglaze the pad and vents gasses that build up between disc and pad during braking. The additional slots dissipate heat more effectively, thus greatly reducing the risk of deformation, vibration or cracking of the disc at extreme operating temperatures.

Zinc Coating: All Kinetix sports discs are zinc anodised to prevent the discs from corrosion in areas not swept by the brake pad. Optimum brake performance is realised after the zinc coating has been removed from the pad track area, which can take up to 100 miles. It is normal that a small amount of noise is exhibited from Kinetix slotted rotors when they are first applied. This noise gradually diminishes and at around 1,000 miles of road use the noise will be minimal. By nature of the way this product works, Kinetix sport slotted discs will always make some noise and this is not cause for concern, it is not a safety issue and is not recovered by warranty.
