About Collection: This "Holiday Splendor Glass Ornaments Collection has been inspired by old world-Eastern European families, who for almost 200 years had painted beautiful miniature lacquered paper-m?›ch?? boxes inlaid with mother of pear. It took years of perfecting this technique to establish this new and innovative form of painting that we now proudly present in our exclusive G. DeBrekht Glass ornaments. As in the old days, they are made from 1.5 mm hand-blown Mercury Glass, silver powdered from the inside and then sandblasted from the outside. Combining colors and multi-layer painting techniques create a deep iridescent effect. We take pride in perfecting every piece by adding touches of gold, finishing them with a lovely satin ribbon, and presenting them in a luxurious satin-lined box.
