This particular class 5 hitch features a gross trailer weight capacity of 18,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 2,700 lbs. All CURT Commercial Duty class 5 hitches feature a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" receiver tube opening to accept the strongest of ball mounts and towing accessories. CURT class 5 tow hitches are protected by a co-curing of liquid A-coat and carbide black powder coat finish. They also mount with grade-8 hardware, included with each hitch.
