Each purchase of these lovingly hand-knit doll supports women artisans in southeastern Peru by granting access to health care and education to them and their families. Each doll is preserving traditional knitting techniques while supporting fair trade and economic empowerment. Our maker, Naguska is a family-run organization employing women knitters from the Peruvian highlands. Naguska prides itself on providing consistent work to hundreds of artisans while offering them the opportunity to supplement their family income from farming by creating hand-knit accessories from locally sourced materials, such as cotton and alpaca wool.
