Unique Circa 1938 White Dot Sheaffer Rose Glow Balance Fountain Pen Restored Christmas Gift Special [OQ7UKNTC]

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Restored Circa 1938 Sheaffer White Dot Lady Size Balance Fountain Pen in scarce Rose Glow Celluloid. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned, put back together, and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old rubber sac with a new sac. Hand polished the Gold Plated Clip, Cap Banding, and 14K 2-Tone Lifetime NIB. I also cleaned, buffed, and polished, the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, teeth marks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has a Gold Plated Clip with Cap Banding. The edging of the flat ball chip displays minor wear. The cap banding is free from any wear. The barrel is clearly stamped with, "W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co Fort Madison, Iowa U.S.A., Patented In U.S.A.". There are no monograms or personalizations on the cap or barrel. This Sheaffer Balance Fountain Pen is a Lady size that measures 4 7/8" in length capped and 5 5/8" posted.

I have tested the lever-filling mechanism with water and fills as it should. The Lever Filling System works excellently, as it was originally intended to.

This Sheaffer has the 14K 2-Tone Lifetime NIB that writes with an extra-fine to fine line. The actual writing portion (the iridium) of the 14K Sheaffer NIB has an extra-fine point measuring roughly .42mm when measured with digital calipers. When creating a writing sample, the NIB writes with an extra-fine stroke/line measuring at (.40mm) with very light pressure and will flex up to a fine (.56mm) line with firm pressure when measured with digital calipers. There is no real flex with this nib, very rigid and needle-point-like. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Black Ink. 

This is a fabulous Sheaffer Balance Fountain Pen in the extremely hard to acquire Rose Glow Celluloid. I would grade this Rose Glow Sheaffer Lady Balance in Excellent+ Condition. Rose Glow is the most difficult colored celluloid to find and this one does not disappoint. Certainly, this fountain pen is a fantastic addition to one's fine writing arsenal collection.
