For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked 2001 Sheaffer Legacy 2 White Dot Black Pearl Special Edition Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K medium nib. This fountain pen has never been inked and has always been contained in the original box. I consider this fountain pen in New Old Stock, Mint Condition with the original box with Sheaffer accessories. 

This Sheaffer Legacy displays a rich dappled blue lacquered cap and barrel, fitted with a solid 18K/750 gold nib with palladium electroplated overlay. The cap and barrel have absolutely no damage, dents, or wear to the finish. This fountain pen has never been inked and is in Mint Condition. This Fountain Pen measures 5 1/2" inches capped and 5 3/4" posted.

This writing instrument is a Sheaffer Legacy 2 Fountain Pen and is model number 854 with production beginning and ending in 2001. The model is commonly referred to as the "Black Pearl Special Edition". The cap has palladium electroplated trim with a spring-loaded clip. "SHEAFFER USA" is stamped on the sides of the cap clip. The cap banding is also palladium electroplated and stamped, "SHEAFFER U.S.A.". This Sheaffer has the Touchdown Filling system and works as designed - I tested it with water, and it works as it should. Or one can use the accompanying ink cartridges. 

The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel via a friction fit. The trim is perfect with no scratches or brassing. 

The nib is marked 18K Sheaffer 750 and has a Medium point measuring .76mm when measuring with digital calipers. There are no signs of the nib ever being inked.

Accompanying this Sheaffer Legacy 2 Fountain Pen are the original box, the original plastic sleeve the pen came in, two ink cartridges, and Sheaffer literature.
