The Illumination Sacred Heart Cross White Turquoise Necklace is a lightweight and no fuss layering piece with the heavy duty added protection of Saint Michael, Notre Dame of Paris and a Saint Benedict medal. The White Turquoise is joined with Channel Set  Faceted Crystals which  add to the light and dimensions.  Wrapped entirely in oxidized gunmetal to highlight the gems and crystals, it has a powerful presence for these days when we need all the extra help we can get.  The shortest strand is 18 inches and the white turquoise strand is 28 inches including the cross.  It's now made in two separate necklaces instead of one triple strand necklace for ease of wear and layering, so you will receive two necklaces. 

The Sacred Heart Cross is made from a French nun's vintage rosary and was found in Paris.  The original has been meticulously recast using the lost wax method.   It's joined with Saint Benedict Medal on the toggle which is a sacramental holy medal that has been used to repel evil for centuries.

According to the Benedictine Order of Monks "We do not know just when the first medal of St. Benedict was struck. At some point in history a series of capital letters was placed around the large figure of the cross on the reverse side of the medal. For a long time the meaning of these letters was unknown, but in 1647 a manuscript dating back to 1415 was found at the Abbey of Metten in Bavaria, giving an explanation of the letters. They are the initial letters of a Latin prayer against evil" that is worn by the faithful to keep the wearer out of harms way.   Saint Benedict was an Italian monk and founded the first Western Monastery.   He lived from 480 AD to 547 AD.  The cross has entwined thistle on each arm representing the sacrifices of a holy life.
