To celebrate the occasion, Fritz Hansen launches the Lily and Series 7™ chairs in specially upholstered, unprecedented editions.The Lily™ anniversary collection comes with a chrome-plated frame and Grace – Chestnut leather, a brand new colour with a distinctive maroon shimmer, designed exclusively for Fritz Hansen by Sørensen Leather. Each of the Lily from the anniversary collection receives an anniversary plaque.The Lily™ chair was originally designed for the National Bank of Denmark. The first model 3108 was designed as early as 1968, the version with armrests, model 3208, was launched in 1970 at the Danish Furniture Fair. The chair is made of layered knife veneer layers that are molded in a highly complicated process to ensure the perfect curves and exceptional comfort of the chair. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Lily™, Arne Jacobsen's last chair design, we are now relaunching the original version in walnut veneer.
