The center embroidered motif is brocaded while the placemat is being woven. This motif is "Q'anil" in Mam, and represents four seeds reflecting the four colors of humanity -- red, yellow, white, and black. 

There is a matching table runner and a selection of coordinating napkins.

Each placemat in a set has the same stripes and embroidery motif. The colors of the embroidery vary in each placemat.
