The Ramaz was a Rabbi and Mekubal of Portuguese-Jewish heritage who served as the Rabbi and head of a Yeshivah in Mantua and the Rabbi of the Jewish community of Venice and considered to be one of the biggest mekubalim in Italian Jewry.
