We strongly recommend using the proper power supply for any pedal. Daisy chain power supplies may not supply enough power when using multiple pedals or introduce noise into the chain. Consult the pedal manual when available for manufacturer recommended power specifications.

The Intrinsic Drive is an Overdrive/Pre-amp that is unique and versatile in the crowded world of overdrive pedals. It's versatility allows it to be placed in front of other drives or the end of your chain to boost the signal to your amp. In research, development and testing for over 18 months, the intrinsic drive is truly one of a kind.

Powered from a standard external +9 Volt, center negative power source (battery power not available), this +9 volts is step up internally, which allows for more headroom than standard 9 volts.

It's uniqueness comes from the fact that there are no clipping diodes in the circuit. Instead there is an active circuit creating distortion for the feedback to the amplifier circuit.

The gain control will take you from near clean to full on overdrive range, with compression setting in latter in the gain range.

The unique feedback circuit creates an overdrive that is very sensitive to your attack and is very open. Also the circuit is designed to minimize it's effect on your overall tone. Unless of course you want to alter it via the tone knob. The tone response is relatively flat at the 12 o'clock position, away from that it has a small boost to the bass or the treble, allowing you to color your tone as you want.

Boasting a 16 db gain at max settings, the Intrinsic drive will boost your amp into overdrive and then some.
